Sadsome
Sadsome: (adjective) any event, person, place or thing that is as sad as it is awesome. ("Sure, all those people at Circuit City are losing their jobs, but I got an XBox 360 for a hundred bucks. It was totally sadsome.")
This is an idea I've had for quite some time, but by no means do I want this to be something to which only I contribute; that's what I've got Liquid America for. Blogger allows for numerous contributors (up to 100) to a given page, and I intend to open The Vernacular Project to anyone who expresses an interest in contributing. Just let me know- replying here, sending me an e-mail, whatever floats your goat- and I’ll add you as a contributor, likely within 24 hours of the request.
Are you just making these up now for the sake of posting them here?
ReplyDelete"Sadsome" is a perfectly cromulent word. Brendan and I invented it on Twitter, and as we all know, "If something is on the Internet it is true".
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely not, Gull; making phrases up solely to post them on the Project is counter to the entire point.
